It’s almost here; Thanksgiving!!! My fiancé and I will be spending the day with his family, and I can hardly wait to enjoy all of the delicious food we’ll be serving. It’ll be great to spend a holiday with his family, as I haven’t been around for the past few years. I hope you all have a fabulous day, no matter what you have planned.
My plan was to opt for Birchbox’s curated box this month, but I didn’t receive the email from Birchbox to do so. I’m happy I received the original November box, it was great! But I had to have the Glam Life Guru box, too. Curated by the Glam Life Guru herself, Tati, it features five of her favorite products, and it’s available for purchase at Birchbox for $15.00 for non-subscribers, $10.00 for subscribers. It is well worth the money, people! You better act fast, because these boxes have already sold out once; you can find here HERE.
Let’s take a look at what this box offers us…
Avène • Hydrance Optimale Hydrating Serum – I’m a big fan of Avène, it’s part of the reason why I had to have this box. Having sensitive skin that’s prone to atopic dermatitis means I need to be careful with what I put on my skin. Avène seems to have people like me in mind when they create their products; nothing I have tried from their lineup has caused any issues. Aubrey Organics has been my go-to for skincare for years, I love their products, but I may end up switching things over to Avène in the near future. With that being said, this serum is amazing! I love how soft, smooth, and hydrated my skin feels after using it. It also seems to help calm any redness I may have. It helps to plump the skin while promoting cellular regeneration. And it’s light!… perfect for applying before makeup. Love!
Living proof • Perfect hair Day (PhD) Dry Shampoo – I’m a dry shampoo addict. My hair is dry and coarse naturally and I can’t wash it every day; my hair will freak out! Dry shampoo can cause dryness on its own, which is one of the reasons why I’m picky about which ones I’ll use. The list of dry shampoos I’ll use is short, and this one falls on that list. I love the scent, it doesn’t leave my hair stiff, and it adds a beautiful shine. Of course, it absorbs oil, sweat, and odor, too. It’s a keeper!
LOC • One & Done Shadow Stick • Day Trip – From Birchbox’s new brand: A crease-less, waterproof shadow with shades curated by Tati Westbrook. I wasn’t a fan of the lip crayon I received from this lineup, but the shadow stick is great! I really like the shade I received; Day Trip is a beautiful, shimmering gold. It’s easy to apply, and I especially like using it as a liner.
Jouer • Lip Enhancer – Another brand I’m a big fan of! Jouer offers amazing, high quality products. I was really looking forward to trying this particular product because, like dry shampoo, I’m a lip balm/Chapstick addict. This particular product helps minimize lines, increase fullness, and moisturize lips. I love the glossy finish. The best part?… it doesn’t leave your lips sticky! And there’s absolutely no tingling or stinging. This product is a must-have!
Shiseido • ULTIMUNE EYE Power Infusing Eye Concentrate – As I’m nearing my 30’s, I’m looking for a great eye cream to help prevent lines and puffiness. They aren’t an issue yet, and I don’t want them to be. This particular concentrate helps skin around the eye look healthier and firmer, while boosting the benefits of other eyecare products. I love how light it feels, you don’t have to use much product, and it’s super easy to apply. It absorbs quickly and seems to instantly make the eye area look brighter, which is awesome! I’m a fan. 😊
